Leyte. I'm the only daughter of my mother. My parents separated when I was 3 years old and
they were annulled just a few months ago. Nevertheless, I am still happy because I have my
titos, titas, lolos, and lolas that I know will provide me with never ending love and support.

My family is the reason behind my unending and genuine joy. Despite problems and
obstacles, my family always manage to push through. Take on a new challenge. Solve problems
one after another.

My family is the greatest source of my happiness that brightens up my entire life. My

mother being a single mom became the only foundation that supports and defends me. I love
my mother dearly for she is the wind beneath my shaky wings and would give up everything to
become the buffer between me and the ground when I fall.

My family is very important to me because they are always here to support, to guide, to
keep me safe and happy. However, both of my grandparents whom I love so much has passed
away already. We cannot bend the reality and we had to face the truth that they are not with
us anymore but will always remain in our hearts.

I entitled this journal My Joyful Family because despite all that we have been through,
we remained joyful.
