People would be afraid of robots if they're not sure what they're doing. But if they
can examine and explain the motives for their conduct, we are more likely to solve this
issue of trust. They’ve been trying to do things with robots that humans are bad at so
much, such as preserving attention on long drives or being sharp on the brakes when the
problem started, says Bernhard Weidemann, Daimler's Stuttgart spokesperson. "We'll
have to try to program things that come more naturally to humans, but not to machines
if we go forward."
