on their given area of expertise.

Fortune 1,000 companies.

working in teams with their clients, doing the background analysis and high-
level thinking that drives businesses in new operational and strategic
directions.

shared of the clients of which the consultant is working upon.
 Evaluation is also done by the Project Manager or the Project leads who are
working on the project and the guidance for the parts which we lack is also
provided with them.
 Consultants are paid heavily.

Banking:

 Investment banks help companies raise money by issuing and selling

securities. Investment banks are different than commercial banks.
 Commercial banks take deposits from customers and give commercial and
retail loans.
 Companies use investment banks to gain access to capital and for financial
advice.
 A private company is looking to go public, they will approach an investment
bank for advice on market timing, share placement and a strategy to get the
highest value for the company.
 Investment banks are constantly competing to win deal contracts.
 Multiple investment banks work together on a deal to best meet the needs of
their client by maintaining focus on their core capabilities.
 Investment banks are ranked annually against each other based on things like
deals completed and revenue earned.
 For Investment Banking only Bloomberg training sessions are
provided where one half day of training on data manipulation and
other half on session reviewing valuations.
 Bankers are paid well.

Q2) Which one you will choose based on the case?

I will go consulting for a few reasons:

First, consulting gives you exposure to a broad range of business issues, from
strategy to accounting to operations.

Second, I am interested in a lot of different industries. Consulting is one of the few

jobs where you get hands-on experience in a wide variety of industries.

Finally, Consulting gives you lots of exposure to different problems and access to
people with vast experience in each of the areas you work in, whether it is a co-
worker or a client. The experience you gain in consulting positions allows you to
pursue any career that interests you afterwards. It involves lot of learning.
