3. Materials and Equipment needed: (5 points)

- Pencil, Cardstock paper, Worksheet with rhyming words, scissors , glue sticks, Crayons, Giraffes Can’t
Dance (book).

4. Teaching (What will you do?) (5 points)

- Teacher will read Giraffes Can’t Dance and emphasize rhyming words.
- Teacher will reread the text and write the rhyming word pairs on the board as an example.
- Teacher puts children in groups of 3, where students will be able to work together.
- Teacher hands out supplies and give students Cardstock paper and worksheet.
- Students work together to match up the rhyming words. (grouping word that rhyme together)
- Teacher will meet with each groups to help with any questions or offer encouragement.

5. Closure: (2 points)
- Students will cut out words and group rhyming words together and glue onto cardstock.
- When done, students will meet as a class and review the material.
- Teacher and students will work together to identify which rhyming words should be grouped together.
- Students and teacher will put up students creations.
