4. RATIONALE

Following the release of the memorandum from the office of Undersecretary for
Administration entitled “Election Calendar for Supreme Pupil Government (SPG)
through Division of Southern Leyte dated February 13, 2018, all public elementary
schools are hereby ordered to be guided on the schedule of activities prior and after the
Election on February 28, 2018.
In line with this, Hubasan ES Supreme Pupil Government will follow the
guidelines of activities in conducting the SPG election on February 28, 2018 as stated in
the DepEd Memo.

5. Mechanics

Student who wish to run for SPG position shall follow the SPG Constitution and
By-Laws.

b) Evaluation of Certificate of Candidacy (COC) vis-à-vis Qualifications and
Disqualifications - February 21, 2018
c) Announcement of Official List of Candidates - February 23, 2018
d) Campaign Period - February 26-27, 2018
Presidential Election Forum
Campus-Wide Presidential and Vice Presidential Debates
e) Election - February 28, 2018
f) Proclamation of Winners - March 5, 2018
g) Nomination of SPG Advisers - March 20, 2018
 h) Oath Taking Ceremony - March 23, 2018
