CHAPTER V

SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the summary, conclusions, and

recommendations of the study.

Summary

The computational analysis aimed to design the

Capacity and material specification in a Proposed Pedal

washing machine. The main purpose of the study is to

determine appropriate materials to be used in a Proposed

Pedal powered washing machine

The computation analysis is done to provide data

necessary for the efficient type of washing

Specific application are needed to provide necessary

data, but an alternative way of finding those data are

theoretical computation which gives the researcher the idea

on how to fully come up with the objectives of the research.

Conclusions

37
38

The machine must be inexpensive and easy to build if it

will be adopted into the community. We recognized this need

and designed the machine from the start with low cost in

mind. The machine will only contain parts that are readily

available in rural areas. This eliminates the need to order

or import components just for the washing machine.

The machine also uses bicycle parts for all the

precision parts. These parts are very inexpensive because

rural areas have a surplus of unused bicycle parts. The

pedal-powered washing machine is quite different from the

community current method of washing clothes; the community

may be reluctant to try the new machine.

Recommendations

Based on the conclusions the following are recommended:

1. The Future researcher/s can further analyze providing

this study is effective way of washing as substitute in

hand washing.

2. Future researcher/s can also improve this study by

providing optimization to the design and improving the

design.
39

3. Future researcher/s can also utilize this study in

research that is related to the manual washing, and

effects in health.

4. Future researcher can also use the system to provide

solution in environment problems in the society.
