Discuss any 3 significance of rural development in Malaysia

The first significance of rural development in Malaysia is to
promote econmic growth in our country.The growth of economic is important to our country because it will ensure the development in our country rural sector contributes to the Malaysian economy through agricultural inputs which are raw materials and output which is food since the 1960s and 1970s. At that time, the majority of the rural population carried on the economy of agriculture, livestock and fishing. For example, at this time rural areas become a community -based tourism sector where local residences that share nature with visitors. This can be proven by the Ministry of Tourism opened chalets in Kota Tinggi , Johor which provided for visitors from abroad or within the country. The benefit is to increase employment opportunities for rural communities.
Reduce the migration of young people to urban areas
because there are no job opportunities is the second significance of rural development. This is because the process of rural migration to the city has resulted in rural areas inhabited by the elderly and less productive. Therefore, Rural development will provide various programs to young people and increase employment opportunities such as in the agricultural sector which requires quality and productive produce requires a quality workforce. Through the programs conducted, young people can learn about agriculture and be ready to work in the agricultural sector. The negative impact of the migration of young people to the city has resulted in most of the paddy farmers and rubber tappers being worked by farmers aged 60 and above, oil palm plantation workers are dominated by foreign workers.
The third significant of rural development in Malaysia is to
encourage public participation in planning, implementing, and using development products. This is because the rural population is the main key in the development, growth, and modernization of the country since independence and the launch of the new economic policy (NEP) which causes the rural population is not neglected or marginalized. has created an innovation for young farmers with modern methods that can guarantee effectiveness in the agricultural sector.Therefore, the benefits are not only providing employment opportunities to the rural community but various other aspects such as developing this area with various infrastructure and basic facilities such as roads, electricity supply, clean water and so on.
