Vision
As a Turk born in Germany in the 1980s, my brother and I had no easy start in
childhood. Our statistical chances of obtaining a higher school leaving certificate as a
migrant were below 4%.

My mother taught us that we had to be better than the Germans to get recognition.
Getting better every day became a mantra in my life and the foundation of my
success.

I have built the Canbolat Group according to these principles and we work every day to
develop it into the best and most customer-oriented company in the world. As a
computer scientist, I am deeply convinced that we will be able to do this through
outstanding software and scalable processes.

Our goal is to become the largest eCommerce company in Europe using the best
software.
Status Quo
Our ERP system Athenos is a self-developed, grown monotlith based on J2EE, Seam,
Richfaces and Hibernate, which runs on a JBoss 6.

Our software includes crm, fulfillment, accounting, business reports, controlling,

catalog, scm, payments.

We have developed a second system based on Jakarta EE, Primefaces, Hibernate,

which controls marketplace communication and automated pricing.

In development we use: Maven, Wildfly 14, gitlab for projects, gitlab ci / cd (jenkins
before), sonarqube, archivist, swagger / openapi

The development methodology is Scrum with two weeks of sprints, organized in gitlab,
daily standup, refinement meetings.

Our development team has a deep understanding of business processes, but there is
a lack of know-how for the development of modern architectures such as micro-
service oriented architecture.
Area of responsibility and responsibilities
• As a tech lead, you are responsible for the technology strategy. From the tech stack to
development methods to team setup, you have the freedom to design a modern service
platform and create the technological basis for an internationally scalable business model.
Here, the existing ERP system is also to be transformed into a modern architecture.

• Architecture & processes: You develop the strategic target image and the technological
roadmap for an open and modern IT architecture (front-end, back-end) and establish efficient
DevOps processes together with the departments

• Product development & MVP: You start with a very well-prepared product idea for an initial use
case and ensure that you, together with your delivery team ("BizDevOps"), drive the continuous
development of the product portfolio, with the focus on customer benefit, UX and corporate
success stand.

• Team: You build a powerful tech team around you that you lead cooperatively and develop
professionally and personally. You represent the strategic decisions to your team and make
clear technological direction decisions.

• Partners & market understanding: You recognize and evaluate new technologies on the market
at an early stage and work in a targeted manner with relevant strategic partners

being slow is going to be expensive for sure.
