1.)What Important role does management play in an organization?

- Organizational design is largely a function based on systems thinking: identifying the moving
parts within an organization that add value and ensuring that these parts function together as
an effective and efficient whole.
Management may be described as the the people who design an organization structure and
determine how different aspects of the organization will interact.

2.)Should one be effective first before being efficient or is it the other way around? Justify your
answer

-Effectiveness is far more important than efficiency. The main problem with placing efficiency
before effectiveness is that some people end up wanting to do things fast/perfectly, before
they’ve even started doing them at all. This of course, creates some problems.

3.)Which among the factors of influencing management have the most impact on businesses in
the Philippines? Why do you think so?

-Competition and Socio-Cultural functions, because the Philippines is a rising country the
demands of the new products are needed to supply the new customers of the new brands and
stuffs. That’s why many companies had invested in the Philippines to ensure that they are the
one to be chosen by the people. Competition arises from different products and services which
they serve and the cultural factors depending on there taste and likes.
