A. CONTEXT Learners The students' previous knowledge is
the present verbs; it’s a classroom of 20 students with ages between 11 and 12 years old. The specific needs of the students are: vocabulary acquisition (in this case verbs) and reinforcement activities. Curriculum This unit fits with the Guidelines of the National Ministry of Education in the National Project "Bilingual Colombia", in which Colombians are expected to leave basic education with an Intermediate level of English (B1) and this unit is basic to be able to access at this level of English. In the same way, this class lesson fits into the unit since the subject and the level belong to the curriculum established by the Ministry of Education. This class lesson fits and is relevant for all the students since when they carry out their learning processes they will notice that the topic of "ING Form" is an important, necessary and everyday topic. Resources For this class lesson, audiovisual media and recreational-practical activities are needed for students to relate to new knowledge.
Arrangement The class takes place in the classroom,
the class will be divided into two parts, the first part is that of individual activity where the subject is explained and an activity is carried out and the second part will be a group of 4 students where a knowledge reinforcement activity. E. SPECIFIC LEARNING Analyze ING form. GOALS Compare the ING form with the Spanish verbs in the present participle. Identify the uses of the ING form. Do individual activity. Carry out-group activity. F. METHOD – 1. Introductory section Duration: 20 minutes. INSTRUCTIONAL (Explore) In this section an introduction is made STRATEGIES FOR to the new topic "Forms ING", and the TEACHING AND previous knowledge "Verbs" is LEARNING remembered. 2. Main/middle section Duration: 40 minutes. (Focus) In this section a detailed explanation of the subject is made and the doubts that arise are resolved. 3. Concluding section Duration: 20 minutes. (Apply and Extend) In this section, an individual activity is carried out in which students implement new knowledge. Duration: 20 minutes. In this section, a group activity is carried out in which the new knowledge is collaboratively reinforced. 4. Application/Reaction Duration: 20 minutes. In this section, both individual and collaborative developments in reinforcement activities are evaluated, general problems are also identified, doubts are again explained and doubts are clarified. J. EVALUATION AND It is determined if the learning occurred and if the learning REFLECTION objectives were met taking into account both individual and group ASSESSMENT activities. Changes will be made to this lesson, by identifying STRATEGIES general problems in the teaching-learning process, thus meeting the special needs of students.
