LGU are preparing for ramped-up vaccination program (News)

With the continuous arrival of millions of COVID-19 vaccines in the country, the Department of
the Interior and Local Government (DILG) today urged local government units (LGUs) to brace
for more vaccine supplies and ramp up their vaccination efforts to reach 4 million jabs by end of
next month. People start to go to the vaccination sites commonly barangay halls to list their
names, two college students already fill out a vaccination form and just waiting for their call.

my grandparents and cousins (kids) which are more prone to the virus” Elsa May Fajardo
The country has so far received 7,764,050 total vaccine doses from various suppliers including
the COVAX facility as of May 11, 2021, and 83% of this has been distributed to 3,688
vaccination sites across the country. More vaccines will be allocated to the National Capital
Region, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Pampanga, Cebu, Davao, and other areas with
a high number of active cases to contain the spread of covid.

DepEd conducts content creation workshop for Vacc2School champions (news ps. Baguhin mo
nalang)

July 1, 2021 – To enrich the quality of materials for the Vacc2School: Ligtas na Bakuna Para sa
Balik-Eskwela campaign, the Department of Education (DepEd) conducted a health content
creation workshop and planning for field school health personnel and information officers last
week. It aims to provide a correct information amidst the fears, confusion, misconception,
misinformation, or even disinformation about vaccines. Around 300 Vacc2School champions
nationwide attended the virtual workshop on creating engaging health content using social
media platforms. The workshop was organized by the Bureau of Learner Support Services-
School Health Division (BLSS-SHD) in collaboration with Public Affairs Service (PAS). During the
workshop, participants were tasked to create a sample advocacy video on vaccination. This
campaign will help the government to get a high possibility of immunization and for the face-to-
face classes to occur.
