PERFORMANCE TASK #1
Hormonal Control of Human Reproduction (Quarter 3)
Science 10
Objective:
 Describe the different processes that occur in the menstrual cycle of the female reproductive
system.
Materials:
 Calendar (8x11 inches), Marker, Scissors, Coloring materials, Tape or glue
Procedures:
1. Construct a 28-day calendar, with an approximate size of 8x11 inches. (You may use the
provided calendar template)
2. Note that certain events are marked on certain days.
3. Draw a copy of the diagram/s of the menstrual cycle, as shown in the figures below, onto a
certain day of the calendar that marks its initiation. (Diagrams are not in proper order.)
4. Note that the ovarian cycle and uterine cycle happens simultaneously, therefor there maybe 2
diagrams in a certain day.
5. Tape or glue your diagrams in appropriate date/s where they occur. Make sure that they are
correctly placed.
6. Provide a brief description of the events that occurs.
7. Color the dates that marks the start to end of a certain event.
8. Answer the guide questions on a separate paper.
