Hi everyone, my name is Truc.

Today I would like to present a discussion about Why I chose

Nike?
1. First, I’ll give you an overview about this brand.
+Nike is an athletic company manufacturing, designing and market apparel, footwear,
accessories and equipment.
+ The slogan is simple and effective in communicating it's message. More importantly it
applies to all people, not just elite athletes. It may seem hard to believe but the slogan  was
inspired by the final words of a murderer.
+ The logo is derived from goddess' wing, which symbolises the sound of speed, movement,
power and motivation.
2. This is the table of contents, it informs to you the main ideas that I will mention in
this presentation.
3. (So now, we’ll take a look at the two founders of Nike. It was founded by Bill
Bowerman, a track-and-field coach at the University of Oregon, and his former
student Phil Knight.
4. In this timeline, I chose the 4 most memorable milestone in Nike history (then read
the slide).

5. For the first part, as an economic student, I think management is one of the factors
that we should focus on. Also, I tried to use the vocabulary that we leant from Unit 1
as a chance for us to review the lesson.

6. (In order to remain the brand awareness, they have some keys to success:

+ Nike spends an increasing amount of money on advertising and promotion. The

company had costs of 3.75 billion U.S. dollars in 2019.
+ In 2019, Nike was the most followed athletic apparel brand on YouTube, recording
over 951,000 followers.
+ The company prides itself on its memorable ads and is viewed as a diverse
advertiser by U.S. audiences, they can be about health awareness, motivation, etc
7. It actually has various sport products but Nike is most famous about the footwear
field, I picked up some the most amzing designs according to my view:
+In 1982, The Air Force 1 is released and is the first basketball show to use air in the sole.
+ In 1983, The Air Pegasus is first launched as an accessible running shoe suitable for all
runners.
+In 1984, The Air Jordan 1 is produced.
+In 1987, The first Nike Air Max shoe is released with a visible air pocket.
8. Brands endorsing athletes is nothing new and Nike is one of the biggest
sponsors in the world, spending over $6 billion annually on athlete
endorsements and sponsorships. Here, they are one of the most famous athelets
in their field.
+Micheal Jordan: a basketball icon.
+ Roger Federer: a Swiss tennis player, is the highest-paid athlete in the world
+Tiger Woods: widely regarded as one of the greatest golfers of all time.
+Christano Ronaldo: has a lifetime contract with Nike
9. The timeline shows Nike's estimated global market share in athletic footwear from
2011 to 2025. Nike's global market share in sports and sports inspired footwear is
predicted to remain steady at around 27.4 percent.
