CONTRACTOR: Recent delay is mostly caused by special requirements of CAPELCO on materials

(particularly, electrical and mechanical). Some of which needs to be imported by suppliers.

Contractor laid out the Phasing of the project.

Phase 1: Deliver 1M lit/day of potable water to Poblacion and nearby barangays

(LGU: To include San Jose and Switch)

Phase 2: Install reservoirs and pipe laying to other barangays which needs to acquire lot.

(LGU: Identify potential site?)

Contractor agreed to prioritize barangays that require water supply for hospital needs. Work to include
the measuring of existing tank which will be coordinated with hospital engineer.

Contractor laid out the progress of the project to date and the current status.

Finished activity: Installation of equipment

Ongoing activity: Permanent power application with CAPELCO

Temporary power was provided last year by CAPELCO.

For permanent power application, 5-phase transformer was purchased and delivered on April 2021. The
transformer was sent for test prior installation. However, upon the process, additional requirements are
set by CAPELCO which includes setting specific brands and specification for other accessories such as
digital meter, switches, fuse, current transformer, etc.

These materials are currently being procured for a month. After procurement, concerned staff are
required to undergo PCR tests and wait for results to proceed with the processing of delivery.

Considering these factors, the materials can be delivered earliest on Monday next week.

These materials will be delivered directly to Roxas City for testing prior the delivery to site.

Once the system is operational, water supply will undergo testing internally (in-house testing by
Contractor) for 14 days. In the event that any issue arises during the 14-day window, testing will be
conducted again from the start until such a 14-day straight of successful continuous operation is
achieved. After passing the in-house testing, the water supply will undergo third-party testing by a DOH-
accredited laboratory for another 14 days.

Contractor raised the scope on replacement of existing water meters to digital smart water meters.
These water maters do not anymore require manual reading of flow for future billings since the digital
readings will be sent directly to the system. The replacement of meters will be done gradually while the
water filtration system is already operational.

CONTRACTOR:

Phase 1 – 90% completed

Phase 2 – Civil works for retaining wall (extension) completed

Phase 2 is started simultaneously with Phase 1 due to existing site conditions. Due to soil movement in
the area, retaining wall is constructed ahead to avoid interruptions on the existing work.

LGU requested for necessary technical documents, such as Program of Works, Breakdown of Activities,
etc. for proper monitoring of the project.

LGU raised the urgency for the completion of project, mentioning the finished installation of pipes under
SALINTUBIG program, which only awaits the connection to water source to be fully operational.
