TASK
You are the Senior Manager of the Human Resource Department of a famous media
company in Klang Valley. You are required to make a presentation to report the effects of
flexible working hours during the MCO period. The management requires you to submit a
10 - 12 minutes video report to be presented in a board meeting. Your report must be
professional and suitable for the meeting. The aim of the report is to evaluate the success of
the flexible working hours.

The followings are the requirements that you need to consider in preparing the video
report:

a. As the first step, focus on the effects (must be more than one) of the flexible working
hours of your company. Be clear of who were affected by the new hours.
b. Plan and elaborate on what “flexible” means and define it according to the MCO
requirements and the company’s mission. You must be able to include these details
and rationales in the report later.
c. Towards the end of the report, explain the success (or vice versa) of introducing the
flexible working hours and what it means to the company. Include some solution
where necessary.
d. Remember to refer to Topic 3, 4, 7 and 10 of OUMH 2203 Module. You must
understand the conventions of a board meeting, making presentation, using
graphical presentations and format of a report.

2/9
e. Prepare your notes and visual aids for the report. You might want to use applications
to further exemplify the presentation like PowerPoint Presentation, iMovie,
Funimate, Adobe and many others.
f. The graphical presentations (graphs/charts etc) must support your report and
further clarify the change of working hours has been a success or not.
g. Record a 10 - 12minutes report presentation. Marks will be deducted for speeches
that are lesser that 8 minutes or more that 13 minutes. Adhere to these:

specialities of the flexible working hours. You must be able to rationalise why
the flexible working hours is successful or not.
v. You must offer an ending (conclusion) in the video.
h. Make sure the recording content is authentic, clear and engaging. In other words,
“you are the script writer, the speaker and maybe even, the producer!” Thus, you
need to be creative as if you are presenting in a board meeting.
