Requirements for license to operate security profession for private detectives:

BASIC QUALIFICATION:
a. Filipino citizen
b. High school graduate
c. Physically and mentally fit
d. At least eighteen (18) years of age but not more than fifty (50) years old
e. Has undergone pre-licensing training course
f. Must possess one of the following qualifications:
- Holder of a baccalaureate degree or Bachelor of Laws
- Holder of a degree of Bachelor of Science in Criminology
- Graduate of a Criminal Investigation Course offered by the then Philippine
Constabulary/ Integrated National Police or the Philippine National Police or the
National Bureau of Investigation or any police training school or detective training
with authorized/ recognized training center for security guard.
- Advance ROTC/CMT graduate.

APPLICATION / DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS:

a. Duly accomplished SOSIA Application Form with 2x2 ID picture (PNPSF01-2005)
b. SSS Number - Applicants with no SSS Number shall fill-up SSS Personal Record Form
(E-1) and file the same at any SSS Branch for issuance of SSS Number
c. Duly accomplished SSS Social Security ID Application Form (E-6)
d. Birth Certificate
e. College Diploma/ Transcript of Records
f. Training - Any of the following:
- Advance ROTC/CMT Certificate
- Retirement Order for retired PNP/AFP Personnel
- Criminal Investigation Course Certificate
g. Clearances:
- Neuro-Psychiatric Clearance (validated by PNP Health Service)
- Drug Test Clearance
- NBI Clearance
- PNP DI Clearance
- Court Clearance
- Barangay Clearance
h. Private Detective Badge

officer/instructor:

a. Basic Letter Request addressed to Chief, SOSIA (Attn: C, Training & Education Branch)
b. Transcript of Records.
c. Diploma (College, Post Grad Studies) 
d. Certificate on Security Trainor's Course
e. Clearances
- Drug Test
- NP Clearance
 - PNP/Dl Clearance
- NBI Clearance
- Court Clearance
f. Resume with 2 pcs 2x2 picture (colored)

consultant:

BASIC QUALIFICATION:
a. Filipino citizen
b. Holder of a Baccalaureate Degree
c. Physically and mentally fit
d. Has graduated from a Security Officer Training Course
e. Retired personnel of the PNP or AFPI
f. Must possess one of the following qualifications:
- Holder of Master’s degree in either Criminology, Public Administration, MNSA,
Industrial Security Administration or Law
- Must have at least ten (10) years’ experience in the operation and management of
security business.

APPLICATION DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS
