My name is Jimmy, I’m twelve years old and I live in Wales with my family. My
mother works in a bank and she is in the office from nine to five. She doesn’t arrive
home until six in the evening because we don’t live in the city, we live in a little cottage
in the countryside. She’s very hard-working and she often brings her laptop home and
works some more time after dinner. My father works for an international company and
he only has to go to the office twice a week, the rest of the time he works at home with
his computer. This is good because this timetable allows my father to look after my
little brother Andy and me. My mother leaves home at eight, so it is my father who
prepares breakfast for us and takes us to school. As we finish school at five, my father
picks us up and takes us back home. When my mother arrives, we are doing our
homework and packing our schoolbags for the next day.

At the weekends, we sometimes spend time with my mother’s family. I get on well
with my two cousins Sam and Mike, they are twins and they are the same age as me.
We have the same interests, we like playing with the computer, reading and watching
our favourite shows on the telly. We enjoy playing while our parents and cousins also
spend time together. Sometimes we also travel together on holiday.
