WHISTLEBLOWING POLICY

We are committed to conducting our business with honesty and integrity and expect all staff, whether ashore or
at sea to maintain these high standards.

You must comply with International Law as mandated by IMO conventions such as SOLAS and MARPOL and the
National Laws of the Port State the vessel is in.

Non-compliance and malpractice is unacceptable and will be taken very seriously.

If, at any time, you are aware of, or suspect, any of the events listed below, report the matter to the Company
immediately so that we can deal with it appropriately. Failure to notify is considered grounds for disciplinary
action including dismissal.

The following examples qualify as information which may be raised under this policy:

• A crime is being, has been, is suspected, or is likely to be committed;


• Non-compliance with legislation and/or Company procedures, in particular health and safety at work;
• Environmental damage;
• Dishonesty, either verbally, written or through deliberate falsification of official log books or records;
• Malpractice or unethical conduct;
• Breach of legal obligation or regulatory requirement;
• Miscarriage of justice; and
• Deliberate concealment of any of the above

Notification
If you have a legitimate concern and believe that the information relates to one of the above subjects raise the
matter with the Master, the DPA or other Company representative who may be able to agree a way of resolving
the concern quickly and effectively.

Victimisation of a “whistleblower”, or attempting to deter someone from reporting is regarded as


a serious disciplinary offence and will result in disciplinary action.

Any costs incurred in a legitimate case e.g. use of personal cell phone, can be claimed back from the Crew
Manning Office once you have disembarked.
