1. Development, Showcase, and Evaluation Portfolios

Development Portfolios also refers as Evaluation Portfolio, as it shows the growth


or changes over time. This helps to develop the process skills similar to goal setting and
self-evaluation. It also identifies the strength and weaknesses and trace/track the
development of the performance. Example: Reflections on Growth
Showcase Portfolio also refers as Best Works Portfolio, as it exhibits students best
works or output. It is the accomplishments that is being showcase in the end of the term.
In order to communicate with the student’s current capabilities/aptitudes. Example:
Awards and other Recognition
Evaluation Portfolio also refers as Assessment Portfolio, as to document the
student’s achievement. Based on the standard and competencies that is being expected for
student to achieve in each level. This will also serve as an instrument to place students.
Example: Identification of Strength and Weaknesses

2. Holistic Rubric and Analytic Rubric


Holistic Rubric is a single grading scale in which all criteria considered in
evaluation is included together. It is all criterion are evaluated simultaneously, for scoring
faster and good summative assessment. And it even describes the levels of performance
whin it comes to the product or performance as a whole. Example:
Analytic Rubric is a multi-component grading scale, in which it describes each
evaluation criteria separately. It identifies separately each quality that is expected to be in
evidence of the performance. Where all criterion is evaluated separately, which gives
formative feedback and the ability to combine scores. Example:
