Digital literacy is the capacity to recognize and comprehend various forms of media. So
as to allow students to become media-literate, students must be analytical and able to
understand the messages they encounter in all types of media.

• Edmodo- is a global education network that helps connect all learners with the
people and resources needed to reach their full potential.
• TED-Ed- it is a youth and education initiative, which aims to spark and celebrate
the ideas and knowledge-sharing of teachers and students around the world.
• Socrative- is a cloud-based student response system developed in 2010 by
Boston-based graduate school students. It allows teachers to create simple
quizzes that students can take quickly on laptops – or, more often, via classroom
tablet computers or their own smartphones.
• EduClipper- it is a new web application that is often called the "Pinterest of
Education." The free tool allows teachers and students to design and curate a
digital portfolio of websites, documents, images, and videos.
• Projeqt- it is a real-time dynamic presentation platform. Give your presentations a
heartbeat by grabbing your old dusty presentations, or create one from scratch
with our user-friendly dashboard, and let your stories free.
• Storybird- it is a unique language arts tool. We use illustrations to inspire students
to write stories, and our standards-based writing curriculum engages students with
age-appropriate video tutorials, writing challenges, quizzes, and more.
• Thinglink- it is a free and user-friendly digital tool that provides users with the
ability to turn any image into an interactive graphic. Create multiple “hot spots” on
specific parts of an image and turn that image into a multimedia launcher.
• Animoto- is a free classroom tool for educators, students, and administrators.
Easily create and share videos with your class, with parents, and beyond. No
software downloads required.
• cK-12- it is committed online platform, in reaching students with all types of
learning needs, and the inclusion of video, audio, quizzes, and other tools may
open doors for those who are having trouble in the classroom.
• Kahoot- is a game-based learning platform that makes it easy to create, share and
play learning games or trivia quizzes in minutes.
• Class Dojo- is a school communication platform that teachers, students, and
families use every day to build close-knit communities by sharing what's being
learned in the classroom home through photos, videos, and messages.
