Subject: ADVISORY ON THE WORK ARRANGEMENT OF FACULTY


MEMBERS DURING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GENERAL
COMMUNITY QUARANTINE (GCQ) IN THE CORDILLERA REGION

Date : 30 January 2021

1. In view of the declaration by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) placing the
entire Cordillera Region under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) from
February 1 to 28, 2021, IFSU hereby modifies Executive Order No. 22 dated
June 22, 2020 particularly on the alternative work arrangement for faculty
members for the time being that Ifugao is on GCQ. The University thus adopts
the following guidelines:

1.1 IFSU personnel who are 60 years old and above and those with
immunodeficiency, comorbidity, or other health risks, and pregnant women
shall continue to be on work-from-home (WFH) arrangement, unless it is
extremely necessary to report on-site.

1.2 Facuty members shall have a three (3) days Work on site and two (2) days
WFH on the duration of GCQ, but shall make themselves available during the
work hours that they are at home. However, teachers may be required to
report on-site or on field (during their scheduled WFH) to perform vital
services and functions of the University in instruction, research, extension,
resource generation and administration, and when deemed necessary in the
exigency of service such as, but not limited to the following: preparation of
documents for COPC, Accreditation, ISA, ISO, etc.; facilitate enrolment; works
as a task force/ committee member, among others, as may be determined by
the Campus Executive Director (CED), College Dean, or the University
President.

1.3 To ensure smooth and continuous office operation and owing to the nature of
work of administrative staff, the rest of the IFSU personnel (non-teaching) who
are not covered in the preceding section shall continue to have an alternative
work arrangement of four (4) days work-on-site and one (1) day work-from-
home (WFH).
1.4 This provision on alternative work arrangement four (4) days work-on-site and
one (1) day work-from-home (WFH) shall apply to faculty members who have
administrative designations with workload equivalence of six (6) units and
above.

1.5 University personnel during the WFH shall make themselves available during
the work hours that they are at home. It has to be emphasized that WFH shall
not to be taken as a vacation or holiday for personnel. They may also be
required to report-on-site during his/her schedule of WFH when deemed
necessary by the immediate supervisor or when their services are
indispensable under the circumstances.

1.6 Non-teaching personnel whose functions and tasks cannot be possibly


performed through a WFH arrangement owing to the nature of the work (i.e.
utility workers, clerks, among others), and those personnel who are not given
tasks to be performed at home by their immediate supervisor are required to
report-on-site for the whole work week (Monday to Friday). The immediate
supervisor shall be responsible and accountable for this.

1.7 The security guards shall continuously report following the regular shifting to
ensure the security and safety within the school premises.

2 The General Services and the Health Services of campuses shall continuously
conduct disinfection and sanitation of facilities, buildings and campus premises.

3 This Order shall take effect on February 1, 2021. Provisions of EO 22 dated June
22, 2020 and other issuances/ advisories which are not modified by this issuance
remain enforced and effective.

4 The one (1) day WFH and four (4) days work on site arrangement pursuant to EO
22 for faculty members shall resume on March 1, 2021.
