Dear Mthabisi,

VOLUNTEER APPOINTMENT CONTRACT OFFER: ADRA ZIMBABWE

Following our discussion last week, please be advised that ADRA Zimbabwe would like to
offer you an appointment offer as a Volunteer within ADRA Zimbabwe based at our Head
Officer.
If you are willing to accept this offer, your appointment will be with effect from the date of
assumption of duty and the length will depend on your availability and the needs of the
organisation, from time to time. Your full responsibilities will be outlined in the job
description, which will be given to you on assumption of duty.
The following are the terms and conditions of your appointment:

1. This appointment is non-remunerative (no salary will be paid) and will be up to 30 June
2021, unless terminated or extended by mutual consent.

2. Your working hours shall be agreed between you and the Country Director, depending
with your availability and the assignment(s) that may need to be done from time to time,
but you may be required to work odd hours at the discretion of management.

3. You will be covered under a limited Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance.

4. Depending with the number of days/ hours you will deveote to the assignment(s), you may
be entitled to annual leave days every month. However, no payment in lieu of leave will be
allowed and therefore you will have to utilise your accrued leave days during the running
of this contract or the days will be forfeited.

5. During the course of your employment and after leaving ADRA Zimbabwe, you will not,
divulge to any unauthorised person or persons, any of the Agency’s internal and
confidential matters.

6. You will devote your full time and attention to the work assigned to you. You will at all
times obey and abide by the directions and instructions given to you by your supervisor
and shall work diligently, faithfully, and competently.

7. You will be responsible for the safekeeping and return, in good condition and order, of all
ADRA Zimbabwe property, which may have been assigned for use or custody.
8. Any article written during the course of your employment with ADRA Zimbabwe,
pertaining to ADRA Zimbabwe activities will become the sole property of ADRA
Zimbabwe and not that of the individual. This condition also applies to all correspondence
that you may conduct with other organisations on behalf of ADRA Zimbabwe.

9. Subject to the provisions of the Labour Act, this appointment may be terminated by either
party giving 24 hours’ notice.

10. The terms of your employment described will be subject to the ADRA Zimbabwe Human
Resources Policy and Procedure Manual (HRPPM). In the event that there is any
inconsistency between the terms of employment described in this letter and the published
Human Resource Manual of ADRA Zimbabwe, the HR Policy and Procedure Manual
shall apply.

If you are agreeable to the above terms and conditions, please sign this offer of appointment letter
as your acceptance and return the second copy to the ADRA Zimbabwe office for records.
