exact title of the topic that can be found on it. The faster who can complete the 5 pages will
be receiving an extra points for today.

B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation: 
Today we are going to study the parts of a newspaper and what information is found in each part.
Newspaper - a printed publication (usually issued daily or weekly) consisting of folded unstapled sheets and
containing news, feature articles, advertisements, and correspondence.

1. Front page - Contains the latest news both local and international.
2. Editorial page - Contains what the editor thinks about the important issues.
3. Classified ad - Contains job available and for sale equipment, cars and others.
4. Sports page - Contains the results of the sports events.
5. Obituary - It is about notices of dead people.
6. Lifestyle - It is about special features of famous people's way of living.
7. Entertainment - Contains special features on Arts, Music, Theater, Show business, etc.
8. Advertisment - An advertisement is a section that is purchased and designed for selling a
product or idea.
9. News Page - A news page is a report on an event that has taken place. Articles may include a
byline, body text, photo, and caption.

2. Skills Development:
Activity 1. Everybody focus your eyes on the newspaper I will be showing. Tell what part of the
newspaper is shown. Write it on the board.
