White Construction awarded $70 million Repowering Project

Congratulations to White Construction who has been awarded the $70 million Big Sky Repowering
contract by Vitol, a leading energy company!

The team will self-perform all aspects of this 240 MW utility-scale wind farm repower. Work is
scheduled to begin in August of 2021 with the completion date of July 2022. By the end of construction,
the project will increase the wind farm’s annual output by 60 percent.

A wind farm typically has a lifespan of 20 years. Repowering projects increase clean energy efforts as it
does not require the construction of an entirely new wind farm. We are thrilled to be repowering more
plants as it only increases clean energy efforts.

“White Construction originally built the Big Sky wind farm in 2010 and we are very excited to partner
with Vitol to repower this project,” said JP Roehm, IEA’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “As the
wind energy industry matures and turbine technology improves, we anticipate repowering projects
becoming more common—it's a great way to increase clean energy production without having to
construct a new farm from scratch.”

Congratulations, White Construction!

We are excited to announce we have been awarded the Big Sky Wind Farm repowering project worth
$70 million. As the original builders of the Big Sky Wind farm in 2010, we are eager to work with Vitol, a
leading energy company, once again. We will be self-performing all aspects of this 240 MW utility-scale
wind farm repower.

A Wind Farm’s life span is typically 20 years old. Repowering the plant increases clean energy production
without building a new plant- the next step in #cleanenergy
