RESPONSE TO A
CHANGING WORLD
DEALERSHIP OPERATIONAL CHANGES:
The following are PRAXIS'3 suggestions for how your dealership can adapt internally
using the resources you already have. These changes can be made physically inside of
your store or digitally on your website.

SERVICE PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF

ONLINE SALES AND HOME DELIVERY

MOVE CARS FROM SHOWROOM TO ALLOW

RESPACE SEATING AREAS FOR LOUNGE

AUTOMATIC SLIDING GLASS DOORS
Where feasible, use automatic sliding doors. This certainly makes sense for all entry
doors around the showroom and service reception area. Doing so reduces the germs
spread from major contact points like door knobs and handles.

SELF-CLEANING SURFACES
Install products like Nano Septic, that continuously self-clean it's surface. This translates
into turning dirty, high traffic public touchpoints into clean surfaces you can see. These
specialty products are great for doors pull /push plates, elevator buttons, touch screens,
etc.

TOUCH-FREE DEVICES
It's a great idea to invest in touch-free devices in tech areas as well as customer and
sales areas. This can include products such as water fountains, toilets, urinals, faucets,
soap dispensers, and hand dryers.
RESTROOMS AND SANITIZING STATIONS
Designing airport style restrooms with no doors to cut down on touchpoints. It is also a
great option to provide hand wash stations at areas outside the restrooms as well as
hand sanitizing stations thorughout the entire building.

ENCOURAGE FACE MASKS

It is important to require employees to wear masks during this time and it is encouraged
to offer masks to customers as well so that everyone is protected and feels safe within
your establishment.
MAINTAINING SAFE DISTANCES
The following are PRAXIS3 suggestions for how you can put into practice safe
distancing. It is recommended to always allow 6 feet between each indivudal in any
occupied space.

PLEXIGLASS BARRIERS
Create a safe distance barrier between your customers and your employees by
installing plexiglass guards/shields at service advisor desks, podiums, cashier
counters, reception, retail parts, tech parts, etc.

UTILIZING GRAPHICS AND SIGNAGE

Install floor graphics and signage that promote spatial awareness and distancing.
Utilize companies that specilize in these kinds of designs like - IM Branded.

USE ONLINE RESOURCES
We encourage dealership owners to refer to www.ashrae.org, along with a qualified MEP
engineer or MEP contractor to assess options for their particular buildings. Some options
may include additional air changes, high efficiency filters, ultraviolet light, increasing
outdoor air intake to reduce recirculating air.

Like all hazards, risk can be reduced

communicate the limitations of the
HVAC system and our current state
