Journey of India as a Global Capability Centre Hub
India is one of the world’s most attractive locations for setting up a GCC thanks to the country’s solid
infrastructure, supportive policies and an eager workforce. In fact, India alone accounts for
approximately 50% of all such centres globally, according to a report by Nexdigm.
Although India continues to attract GCC’s to its shore, its value proposition is expected to face
competition from developing regions in South East Asia due to lower wage rates as well as foreign
sentiments hoping for a reversal of the offshore model.
NASSCOM aim to create a project that would aim to analyse which of India’s competencies attract the
most investment, research ways to strengthen them, identify weaknesses, and make a prediction as
to whether India will be able to retain its lead in terms of attractiveness for GCC investments.
