Morgan's Wonderland Looks To Welcome Even More Special-Needs Guests in

2011

SAN ANTONIO - After a 2010 inaugural season that far exceeded expectations,
Morgan's Wonderland - the world's first ultra-accessible family fun park
specifically designed with special-needs kids and adults of all ages in mind -
has begun its 2011 season with new enhancements for park guests.

"Morgan's Wonderland is the very first park of its kind," said philanthropist
Gordon Hartman, president and CEO of The Gordon Hartman Family Foundation, "so
we've learned lessons that have led to improvements for 2011. It was gratifying
indeed to welcome approximately 100,000 guests from 47 states and 13 other
countries in our first season."
Guests in survey research said they want more food options, so an expanded
concessions area will offer beverages and snacks including hot dogs, nachos,
pretzels, popcorn, frozen lemonade and other park fare.
They have the option of purchasing food items or bringing their own food into the
park. Guests also requested a cooler environment at the Picnic Place, so fans and
massive shade structures covering most of the picnic tables and seating have been
installed. Shade also has been added to the entry courtyard where guests after
exiting the Welcome Center get themselves organized for an enjoyable day in the
park.

Encompassing 25 acres in Northeast San Antonio, unique and colorful Morgan's

Wonderland is completely wheelchair accessible. Admission for those with special
needs is free; admission for accompanying family members, friends and caregivers
is $10 per person. For groups that do not have special-needs individuals among
them, general admission is $15 per person. Children age 2 and younger are also
admitted free of charge.

Latest information on days and hours of operation can be found at

www.MorgansWonderland.com.
"Morgan's Wonderland is a special place where anyone can have fun,"
Hartman said, "but it was created with special-needs individuals in mind. We've
taken an abandoned rock quarry and transformed it into an outdoor recreation
oasis for those with cognitive and physical challenges. Unfortunately, countless
children and adults with special needs do not have access to facilities that can
help them fully enjoy outdoor recreation. We truly hope Morgan's Wonderland will
begin to change that."

To provide non-profit Morgan's Wonderland with a steady revenue stream for long-
term success, Hartman has secured a North American Soccer League team - the San
Antonio Scorpions FC - that will begin play in spring 2012. All Scorpions profits
will be earmarked for Morgan's Wonderland. This is the first time a professional
sports team has been organized to benefit the special-needs community, he noted.
More information is available at www.SanAntonioScorpions.com.

The inspiration for Morgan's Wonderland came from Hartman's 17-year-old daughter
Morgan. Her soaring spirit despite personal challenges sparked within Hartman a
deep desire to create a haven not only for those with special needs but also for
their families, caregivers and invited friends. "Inclusion is the overarching
objective for Morgan's Wonderland," he explained. "Our vision is to play an
instrumental role in helping establish more ultra-accessible family fun parks
throughout the nation."

Morgan's Wonderland opened March 3, 2010, and celebrated its grand opening April
10, 2010. It features more than 25 elements and attractions including rides,
playgrounds, gardens, an eight-acre fishing lake, 18,000-square-foot special-
event center, 575-seat amphitheater, picnic area and rest areas throughout the
park.

Signature elements include rides that can accommodate wheelchair-bound guests;

the Sensory Village(tm), a cluster of themed spaces such as an auto fix-it shop,
grocery store and TV station that offer sensory stimulation through colors,
lights, sounds and textures; and the Sand
Circle(tm) play area, where even kids and adults in wheelchairs can scoop up sand
and be part of the fun. In contrast, the nearby Garden Sanctuary offers a quiet
retreat in the heart of the park, and its semicircular Memorial Wall is engraved
with names of loved ones with special needs who have passed away.

Other park features include Braille signage, a 3-D park model, 18 ADA-compliant
restrooms, a first-aid station, vending machines and seven acres of free parking.
The Picnic Place is available for those who wish to bring their own food to the
park, and the special-event center as well as pavilions can be reserved for
birthday parties, family gatherings, fundraisers and other special events.

Morgan's Wonderland guests are encouraged to pre-register and make a reservation

online or by phone - (210) 637-3434 - before arriving at the park, said Dave
Force, general manager. The purpose is to prevent overcrowding and to ensure
adequate numbers of staff members and volunteers are on hand to accommodate
guests' needs.

"As our guests arrive, they're assigned special RFID (radio frequency
identification) wristbands," he added. "Location station monitors are situated
throughout the park. By simply scanning his or her wristband, a member of a group
can quickly locate others in the group if they become separated. The wristbands
not only provide comfort and security against a child getting lost, but they also
help guard against the possibility of a child leaving with a stranger or leaving
the park alone."

In 2007, The Gordon Hartman Family Foundation was instrumental in the creation of
SOAR (Sports Outdoor And Recreation), a non-profit organization to raise funds
for building Morgan's Wonderland.
Construction on the $34 million park began in spring 2009.

Morgan's Wonderland is part of a larger 106-acre sports venue to encourage

inclusive recreation whereby individuals of all abilities can play side-by-side.
The next-door STAR (South Texas Area Regional) Soccer Complex offers 13 lighted
soccer fields for tournaments, instructional clinics and special events. Proceeds
from STAR Soccer go to support the operation and maintenance of Morgan's
Wonderland. Likewise, revenue from the Scorpions FC pro team of the North
American Soccer League will provide additional financial support when competition
begins in 2012.

Morgan's Wonderland is located in just off IH 35 at the intersection of Wurzbach

Parkway and Thousand Oaks Drive. For more information, visit

2) EFMP: Changes to Camp We Can

Dear EFMP Families,

Usually by this time of year the annual summer camp applications are out and
everyone is making plans for their summer activities. However, the economic
crunch has forced Camp We Can organizers, CYSS, to re-think their usual way of
doing things and changes are necessary. The Special Needs Summer Camp, or "Camp
We Can", is not a budgeted event, but for the past three years CYSS has been able
to use monies left over from other programs; unfortunately, this is not a
practice that can be continued.

Since ACS, EFMP is your point of contact, we feel it is our responsibility

to keep you informed. Camp We Can for 2011 will last for one week only
-
11-15 July. The ages for the camp will be 5-18. The Camp will be open for 100
children only. T-shirts will be available for purchase. There will be no
carnival at the end of the camp.

Thus far, we have no applications but when they are available, you will be
notified by e-mail.

3) HURRY! Special Event to Celebrate and Honor Military Families -

Closes APRIL 1ST

Dear Volunteers, Representatives, Board of Governor members, and HQ

Employees:

A Special Event to Celebrate and Honor Military Families is being sponsored by

NASA, on April 18-April 19th in Orlando, Florida.

NASA has provided an opportunity for military families to participate in a multi-

day celebration culminating with the Space Shuttle launch. We are pleased DoD
has reached out to the National Military Family Association to help share this
incredible opportunity with military families.

Considerations for participation:

* You must be a military family; the opportunity should not be

extended to neighbors or friends who are not military families. Space is limited
and ID's will be required.

* Military Families will need to provide their own

transportation to Orlando and lodging (if applicable).

* Military Families must take DoD sponsored buses to the Kennedy

Space Center and Causeway on Launch Day (no POVs will be authorized)

* The events planned are focused on school-age children, and at

least one activity has an age restriction of 12 years or older.

* Launch day will be a long, but exciting and engaging day! The
buses are not expected to return to Orlando until 12AM-2AM. The launch is
scheduled for 7:48 PM EDT.

Monday, April 18 --L-1/One Day Before Launch there will be an afternoon of space
related hands-on activities and demonstrations at the Orlando Peabody Hotel
hosted by NASA education specialists;

Tuesday, April 19 --L-0/Launch Day -a special treat with military astronauts and
spouses at the Peabody as they discuss with families 'TDY to Space' and then get
families moving with 'Train Like An Astronaut'
fitness challenge. A mission overview on STS-134 shall be given and then families
will board DoD sponsored buses for transportation to Kennedy Space Center and its
Causeway. Military Families will have the opportunity to participate in a special
LEGO: Build the Future event on the Causeway in advance of the launch.
