Course Description and Objectives


The course introduces students with the different types of buildings, their
components and methods of construction. The overall building processes beginning from
site works will be covered so that at the end of the course the students:
 Can select appropriate building site,
 Can prepare and understand building drawings
 Can identify various types of buildings,
 Will have know-how on the type, function and construction of building
components.

Methods and Activities
The course will be given through lectures and discussion supported by the project
work. The project work will be done individually and help the students in understanding
where and how to apply the theoretical concepts in practical activities.
