Additional Tips
• Make sure Résumé is not written on top
• Use headings and bullets for high HSV
• Use 10-14 size font
• Avoid fancy formatting – no underlings, italics, borders, shading or other graphics
• List every phone number separately
• Avoid double columns
• Use accurate names
• Be careful about acronyms and abbreviations
• Look for ways to condense your data
• Double-check for parallel phrasing
• Be honest!
• Avoid including anything that could become a basis for discrimination:
photograph, age, marital status, national origin, race, etc
• Use 24-pound paper and a quality printer for your print copy
• Know how to send your résumé by e-mail
• Have a friend or colleague critique your résumé
• Take care with printing and mailing
