Dr. Carl Rogers, a well- known psychologist, he emphasized that understanding of
the concept of self-exploration and problem solving are helpful for overcoming all types of
personal, psychological, and daily living problems (Steven, 2020).
Problem-solving skills are required on how you approach a problem all throughout
your life. Developing problem-solving skills will help you sort out conflicts, become
independent, and achieve challenging tasks in school or even at the workplace and make
good decisions on your own. You will also feel more comfortable, confident about the
situation you have and be able to deal with unexpected circumstances that may happen to
you or your family, friends, and co-workers. If you have the ability to solve problems, it will
also help you in preventing small issues become big problems in your life.
Here are the skills needed to be a good problem solver and how they can be learned
(CareerBuilder, 2017).

the process of innovation.

alternative criteria which will be affected by the decision you will make.

predict as the best solution to your problem.

implement your decision. Be aware, every action is an
experiment.

feedback you have done. Do not be afraid of the negative outcomes for it
can also provide valuable information to re- assess your
problem.
