PROPOSAL Changes in Portuguese language teaching in secondary

education from the teachers’ standpoint

Dear Colleague,

The review of proposals for the 17th European Conference on Reading has been completed
and I am pleased to inform you that the Scientific Committee of the International Development
in Europe Committee of the International Reading Association (IDEC) has recommended
acceptance of the above proposal.
However, as you have submitted an alternative paper which was also accepted (reference
number 268), we ask you to select only one of them: indeed, we have received a very large
number of excellent proposals for the Conference - more than could fit in the space and time
available. Thank you to notify us before February 1, the paper you choose to present during the
Conference.

We look forward to welcoming you to MONS for the Conference, from July 31 to August 3, 2011.
Please be advised that all program participants must pre-register for the Conference and
submit their registration fee no later than June 1, 2011 - and no later than May 1 if you want to
take advantage of the most favorable registration fee. Online registration begins
