Polarcirkel Boats -

designed for all conditions ...

www.akvagroup.com
Tailor-made for Fishing, Diving, Work and Leisure …

Polarcirkel Boats can be customized to suit your needs. They are available in
5 standard models: Fishing, Diving, Sport, Work and Cabin. Diving and Fishing
models have centre consoles and saddle type bench seats as standard. Other
equipment can be chosen from our long options list. The Sport model has a dual
pilot chair console with a centered forward deck access door. The windscreen,
optional cockpit enclosure and forced air heater make this a comfortable boat
especially for cold and rainy days. The Work model has a starboard single
2
console that frees up a large deck for heavy duty cargo purposes.
Rugged, maintenance-free solutions …
Polarcirkel Boats are built to the same specifications as the professional
boats that we supply to emergency departments, extreme expeditions,
adventure tourism and commercial operators. These boats are used 365
days a year for marine industrial applications such as diving, fish farming,
construction, oil and gas. This means they are built tough and will with-
stand extreme wear and tear. This is your “go anywhere” kind of boat!

3
Polarcirkel Boats are self-bailing and unlike conventional RIBs, these
RBBs (Rigid Buoyancy Boats) have solid high density polyethylene
pontoons filled with expanded polystyrene. This makes them
virtually unsinkable.

Designed for extreme weather conditiones …

All Polarcirkel boats are regularly used in extreme and rough weather
conditions all over the world. The boats have performed exceptionally well
in arctic and tropical regions and can handle temperatures from -40°C
to +55°C. Customers include The Governor of Svalbard, The Norwegian
Polar Institute, Forest Fire Departments in Sweden, Greenland Extreme
Adventure Companies and oil drilling companies in West Africa..

A wide range of engines …
Polarcirkel offers a variety of engines. Yamaha outboards
ranging up to 200hp and Volvo Penta inboard turbo-diesels
from 130hp to 435hp. The inboard models are available
with water-jet or stern drives. Boats delivered with engine
installed are subjected to a full sea trial at our factory to
ensure all systems are working properly prior to delivery.

Smart safety details …

Safety is a priority for Polarcirkel boats. The high density
polyethylene material itself is lighter than water, and with two
independent pontoon chambers filled with expanded polystyrene,
these boats are virtually unsinkable. The unique RBB (Rigid
Buoyancy Boat) design with 21-degree V-hull and low centre
of gravity, provide exceptional stability.

Additional standard safety details include:

- Sloping aft pontoons with built-in boarding steps

- Expanded polystyrene inside pontoons as secondary
floatation safety - Self bailing deck - Non-skid rubber deck
- Highly visible red gunwales - Fire extinguisher
- Pulpits and grab rails throughout - Heavy duty mooring cleats
- Safety ropes outside the pontoons - Built-in bilge pump
- Proper anchor and rode

"I am pleased to tell you that your Polarcirkel boats continue

to give good service. The boats have proved ideal for our
beach landings in the Antarctic and other areas. On one occasion
while stowed on deck of the cruise ship a very large wave broke
one Polarcirkel boat away from its lashing and lifted it two decks
from where it was recoved without damage. By comparison
inflatable boats have proved prone to damage."
