*European Union*

The European Union Is created in 1958 After second world war with the aim of avoiding conflicts,
increasing cooperation, economic interdependency and stability. Initially there were six european
contries engaed and agreed, later on 22 more European countries joined the Union.

The Initial name was *European Economic community* and in 1993 this name changed to *European
Union*.

There are number of institutions in the european union which combinely works in balanced and
managed way.

Among them, there are four main institutions

*The European Parliament*

*The council of ministers*

*The European commission*

& *The European Court of Justice*.

While there are four other secondry institutions which are *European court of auditors*

*The economic and social committee*

*The Committee of the regions*

*The European central bank*.

These Institutions work differently and has different powers and policies.

When we are talking about the most powerfull institution among the European union Institutions, we all
can not identicate a single one only, rather different people have different perception about them.
According to me The Eurpeaon commission is most powerful institution and European court of justice is
most important one.

The *European Union commission* can be considered as most powerfull because it is the main legislator
and it executes all the important legislations and directives.

It monitors the compliance with legislations and achords and administers common policies.

The commission has also the power of initiative as its permission and proposal is required for all new
legislations. The *Commission* also acts as executive body. It prepares the European union budget. The
commission manages the negotiations about trade and competition with other states.

The European commission acts as guardian of the Achords. For instance, The commision also performs
duties as a judiacial institution that the commission has to gurantee that the legislations is done
correctly by the members of the states.

The commission also acts against the members states according to article 226 of the European
commission treaty. It also interogates the violations of the treaty if happens. Sometime the
*Commision* also conducts legal proceedings against the member states that failed to perform with the
European Union law and bring before European union court of justice and held them accountable. The
commission also makes ensure that the targets and goals from the European union institutions has been
achieved.
