In making the alternative mosquito repellent, the researchers agreed on creating four different

mosquito repellent (candle) each having different different ratios of the three different oils.
Before making the actual candle, the researcher first set up the jar and the candle wick. The jar
was rinsed with water to make sure that it is clean and no unnecessary dirt is left inside the car.
It was then left to dry and the excess water left in the jar was then wiped. The candle wick was
then placed using electrical tape for it to stick at the base of the jar. The wick was then
extended just so enough wick is used in every candle. In the making of the actual candle, the
wax was melted through heat and after the wax was fully melted, it was then that the different
oils were poured inside and mixed together. Lastly, different colored crayons were melted
together with the mixture and used to differentiate the four different candles. In the first
candle, the ratio of the quantity of each oil was 1:1:1. For the second candle, the ratio of then
quantity of each oil was 1:1:2, with the neem oil having the larger quantity. For the third candle,
the ratio of then quantity of each oil was 1:2:1, with the camphor oil having the larger quantity.
For the last candle, the ratio of then quantity of each oil was 2:1:1, with the lemon eucalyptus
oil having the larger quantity. After each candle was successfully mixed altogether, the jars
were heated so that when the melted wax is poured, presence of bubbles will be avoided. After
pouring the mixture to the respective jars, sthey were left for 24 hours to solidify and harden,
thus becoming candle mosquito repellents.
