This letter is intended to accompany my application for the admission in Masters’ degree in
Astrophysics and Cosmology at University of Padua, Italy. My name is Gulbaz Sher, and I have
completed my Bachelors’ in Physics from Government College University Faisalabad (Pakistan)
with a keen interest in Particle and Astrophysics.
I aspire to explore my potential and become a prominent physicist. Especially, my craving
increased when I came to know about fundamental interactions in quarks. I have tried my best to
reveal this knowledge to me, and to an extent, I succeeded to achieve it by reading books written
by Prof. Edward Witten and Prof. Peter Higgs (Noble prize in Physics 2013). To expand my
understandings, I feel your course (Master’s degree in Astrophysics and Cosmology) would help
me to understand the Physics and its hiding secrets in a better way. Moreover, the state-of-the-art
laboratory established at the University of Padua will help me to work and collaborate at national
and international levels. It would be also a great opportunity for me to learn from a
well-renowned personality of Physics, Prof. Flavio Seno, at your department.
I respect the University of Padua’s reputation for academic and research excellence. I also
appreciate that the students are encouraged to achieve their full potential in the classroom and
outside it. As a progressive person who has completed his bachelor’s degree with good grades
and firm concepts, being admitted to Italy’s one of the finest universities will enhance my
