A total of 45 students from Camp Siongco

National High School and Mindanao State
University – Maguindanao were trained on
Community Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CBDRRM) last Sep. 10-12, 2018 at Pagana
Kutawato Native Restaurant.

More than thirty women underwent training

A total of 38 individuals belonging to the

formal labor and migrant workers sector in

Simultaneous Earthquake Drill led by the

System (ICS). The said training was

Disaster information materials in English and

Filipino were laymanized and translated into
Maguindanaon during a workshop activity
conducted last November 14, 2018 at
Mindanao State University – Maguindanao.
(MSU) Graduate School. The said activity
initiated by the Office of Civil Defense in the
Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao
(OCD-ARMM) in partnership with MSU-
Maguindanao was aimed to produce an
information and education campaign material in the Maguindanaon dialect.

National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) 2018 Activities

OCD-ARMM kicks off NDRM 2018 with ‘Run for
Resilience’ CAMP SIONGCO, Brgy. Awang,
Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao --- The Office
of Civil Defense (OCD) in the Autonomous
Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) officially
kicked off today, July 01 the National Disaster
Resilience Month (NDRM) 2018 with a three-
kilometer fun run activity, dubbed as “R4R: Run
for Resilience.”

morning, July 17, 2018 at the Watershed,

reviewed by the Office of Civil Defense -
ARMM in collaboration with other Regional
DRRM Council - ARMM council members
namely: DILG, DOH and RPDO.
Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Officers of Lanao del Sur participated in
the Local DRRM Plan Review headed by the Office of Civil Defense in the Autonomous Region in
Muslim Mindanao held last Aug 15-16, 2018 at Mahogany Hills Recreational Park, Iligan City.

Local Disaster Risk Reduction and

Management (DRRM) Officers in the

The Office of Civil Defense in the Autonomous

Region in Muslim Mindanao (OCD-ARMM) turned
over 1,774 boxes of hygiene kits to ARMM-
HEART intended for the victims of the fire
incidents in Jolo, Sulu. Uniformed personnel from
the 6th Infantry "Kampilan" Division, PA hauled
the items while the Philippine Air Force TOG XII
transported them to Jolo via aircraft. The items
were further distributed to the affected families by
ARMM-HEART and local partners in the area.

General Santos City last Sep. 29 – Oct.
1, 2018.

More than 220 temporary tent shelters at Sarimanok Tent

City were provided with insulators by the Office of Civil
Defense in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao
(OCD-ARMM) The project collaboration was a result of the
assessment conducted by IOM. Its implementation is a
collaboration between Task Force Bangon Marwi Field Office
(TFBM FO), OCD ARMM, Marawi City LGU, CDRRMO and
CSWD as well as DSWD Field Offices 10 and 12. The
DSWD 12 donated the new tents as well as committed the
cash for work for the IDPs who were listed to work. DSWD
10 took charge of additional basic construction materials.
