1.2   Parameters
acl Alarm class identifier

A1
Critical alarm class

A2
Major alarm class

A3
Minor alarm class

afdl Automatic Frequency Deviation Limit (FDL). Limit for maximum permitted relative frequency
deviation. Expressed in units of 1E-4 ppm.

If the FDL value is AUTO, it indicates that automatic FDL is enabled and the automatically
calculated FDL value is printed in the AFDL column. See the Application Information for block
NCADM .

avgfcv Average frequency control value. This is the frequency control value for the timing unit
oscillator calculated over a period of approximately one hour.

Value range: 0-65535 (low < 7000, normal 18000 – 46000, high > 57000).

clkinput Timing unit clock input

The Timing unit clock input is the synchronization source currently set as input to the timing
unit oscillator.
Note: If the timing unit clock input indicates a clock-reference of type EXT or GPS on one
timing unit, then the other timing unit will be indicating the Reference Transfer Link (RTL) as
timing unit clock input.

clkmode Timing unit clock mode

FAILURE
Timing unit hardware failure.

FREERUN
Free running

IDLE
Idle

LOCKED
Locked. The timing unit oscillator is locked to the synchronization source indicated by
clkinput.

SYNC2
Synchronizing stage 2

SYNC3
Synchronizing stage 3

UNAVAIL
Unavailable. The timing unit is unavailable.

WARMUP

curfcv Current frequency control value for the oscillator on timing unit.

Value range: 0-65535 (low < 7000, normal = 18000 - 46000, high> 57000).

dfreq Detected frequency:

erate Error rate

For clock-references of type EXT and GPS, this value indicates the percentage of failed
measurements during a period of approximately one minute. For clock-references of type
SDIP, this value indicates the percentage of lost, invalid or corrupted packets during a period
of approximately one minute.

ext External clock-reference

Expressed as EXT-n where:

n
Clock-reference number

fcode Fault Code

http://localhost:9032/alexserv?ID=26681&DT=om&TI=NETWORK+CLOCK-REFE... 06/05/2021
NETWORK CLOCK-REFERENCE DATA Page 6 of 9

The clock-reference is externally blocked. This fault code is only valid for clock-
references of type SDIP. It indicates that the SDIP used as clock-reference is in a
blocked state.

2
The timing unit is unavailable.

3
An error in the communication with timing unit occurred

4
The clock-reference signal is lost.

5
The clock-reference signal has exceeded the permitted error rate.

6
The clock-reference signal has exceeded the limit for frequency deviation (FDL).

7
Timing unit locking error. Signal is present but the timing unit is unable to lock to this
clock-reference.

fdl Frequency Deviation Limit (FDL)

Limit for maximum permitted relative frequency deviation. Expressed in units of 1E-4 parts per
million (ppm).

If FDL value is AUTO, it indicates that automatic FDL is enabled and the automatic FDL value
is printed in the AFDL column. See the Application Information for block NCADM.

gps Global Positioning System (GPS) clock-reference

Expressed as GPS-n where:

n
Clock-reference number

info Optional additional information

pri Priority

The lowest number has the highest priority.

rfd Relative frequency deviation. Expressed in units of 1E-4 ppm.

The relative frequency deviation is measured for a period of 1000 seconds.

scx System Control Switch (SCX). Expressed as A, B or A&B.

SCX-A is located in the left side of the APZ magazine.

SCX-B is located in the right side of the APZ magazine.

smx System control and Main Switch (SMX). Expressed as A, B or A&B.

SMX-A is located in the left side of the APZ magazine.

SMX-B is located in the right side of the APZ magazine.

sdip Synchronous Digital Path (SDIP) clock-reference

See the Application Information for block SDIPST.

ssm Synchronization Status Message (SSM)

http://localhost:9032/alexserv?ID=26681&DT=om&TI=NETWORK+CLOCK-REFE... 06/05/2021
NETWORK CLOCK-REFERENCE DATA Page 7 of 9

Only valid for clock-references of type SDIP. Expressed in 4-bit binary format. Value range:
0000–1111.

state Blocking state of the clock-reference

ABL
Automatically blocked. This state indicates that the clock-reference is automatically
blocked due to a fault.

EX
Executive. This state is only used for the executive clock-reference.

EX/S
Executive but fault suspected. This state is only used for executive clock-references of
type SDIP. It indicates that the clock-reference is fault free on one timing unit but that a
fault is detected by the other timing unit.

MBL
Manually blocked

SB
Standby. This state is only used for clock-references of type SDIP. It indicates that the
clock-reference is deblocked but in standby because another clock-reference, situated
on the same Switching Network Terminal (SNT), is already deblocked and working.

UPD
Updating. This state is used for 1-2 minutes after deblocking when the clock-reference
is verified to be fault free before it is taken into service.

WO
Working

WO/S
Working but fault suspected. This state is only used for clock-references of type SDIP. It
indicates that a clock-reference of type SDIP is fault free on one timing unit but that a
fault is detected by the other timing unit.
