1. PENINSULA-
A piece of land surrounded by water on three sides is called a peninsula. For
example : INDIA.

2. ISLAND :
A piece of land surrounded by water on all the sides. For example – Sri Lanka

3. CONTINENT :
Large landmasses on the surface of the Earth are called continents. Eg. –ASIA

4. MAINLAND:
The part of the country excluding the islands.

5. MOUNTAIN RANGE :
A group of mountains

6. POPULATION:
The total number of people living in a country.

Ans: This is so because:

,India shares its land boundary with Nepal and Sri Lanka is its neighbour across the

sea.
