1.What was the outcome of the battle of Panipat?
Akbar and Bairam Khan fought fiercely against Adil Shah and his
general, Hemu in the Battle of Panipat. Finally Hemu was defeated and
Akbar got his throne of Delhi back.
Akbar divided his empire into 15 subas. Each suba was headed by
an officer called subedar. Subas were further divided into sarkars or
districts which were divided into parganas or mahals. A group of villages
made one pargana.
Akbar’s full name was Abū’l Fatḥ Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥ ammad Akbar.
