GENERAL
The Main Street Unionville Market is open to all vendors who grow, make and sell products.
This market has no exclusivities, no exemptions or restrictions to the type or amount of similar
or shared products between vendors. All competition is welcome and equal. We will do our
best to ensure a vendor of a similar product is not directly beside you when possible.
1. Vendors must be set up and ready to sell no later than 8:45am. Tear down will not take
place until market closing time.
2. Vendors may only sell the products listed on their Vendor Application form, as approved by
Market Manager – lists may be updated with the approval of the Market Manager.
3. Booth rental fees must be prepaid 5 business days in advance of your booked date(s). If you
subsequently miss and/or cancel a market date, fees are not refunded. Vendors are not
permitted to sublet their booth space. The Unionville Market will NOT accept any
applications the day of the market. NSF cheques will have a surcharge of $40.00.
4. Vendors are responsible for their own set-up, take-down and clean up (teen volunteers may
be available to assist). There are NO tables, tents or chairs for rent please bring your own.
Tents MUST be weighed down with proper weights – no stakes allowed in ground or
cement.
5. Vendors are responsible for the behaviour of their staff and agree to abide by reasonable
rules and regulations as determined by the Market Manager.
6. Vendors are responsible to obtain and comply with all necessary licenses, permits, and
regulations related to the sale of their products.
7. Food Vendors are responsible for ensuring all York Region Health regulations are followed
and forms completed and approved.
8. Vendors are responsible for their clean up. If there is garbage left behind, the Vendor will
incur a $40.00 clean up fee.
9. Vendors are requested to display the prices of their products/services.
10. The Market Manager assumes the right to reassign your spot if you are not set up by
8:45am. If you are late or cannot make it, please call the Market Manager. Any three missed
weeks in a season will result in a vendor losing their assigned spot regardless of the
circumstances. There will be no refund of vendor fees.
11. Vendors may pull up close to their tent location to unload, but then must park in behind the
Stiver Mill. Unloading MUST be completed by 8:45am.
12. The Unionville Market reserves the right to refuse rental space for any reason.
Non-Profits, Community Groups and Service Clubs will be permitted a single booth space (if
available) at no cost. Each group will be allocated a space at the discretion of the Market
Manager for promotion, education purposes and sale of products to raise funds for charitable
purposes. Each group may be eligible (space providing) for a total of 3 weeks in the 16 week
period. Each group is required to provide 1 week notice with a complete application form to
participate. Space is limited and dependent on availability. We must at all times ensure 51%
food products being sold in order to operate as an essential service.
A member of the BIA is eligible to have a single booth space at no cost. They are required to
give a minimum of 1 week notice if they wish to participate. There will be reserved space for
members, but is limited and is dependent on availability. Maximum participation of 3 weeks in
