Structure The battery shal! solidly be constructed with materials of superior quality and shall not be found deficient under the surrounding temper~ ature of -15°C to 45°C. It will be so constructed that can be without any trouble of spilt liquid even when the battery is placed on a ship declining 40° to it's either side. Construction and exterior appearance will be as shown on the attached drawing. The battery will be of pasted with glass mats. it consists of negative Plate groups, positive plate groups, separators, electrolyte, and a container. It is tightly closed using sealing compound, Connected in series with connector, it is furnished with terminal, 4. Plate ‘The plate shall be pasted type filling a lead alloy grid with active material. it will have the performance as specified. 5. Separators and Glassmats A combination of separators and glassmats for preventing contact between the positive and negative plates shall be furnished. Separators shall be free from injurious impurity. 6. Container ‘The container will solidly be fabricated using such materials as hard rubber of acid-proof synthetic resin. It will have no leakage of electrolyte, has good insulation and stand sufficiently against vibration. 7. Terminal ‘The terminal is "L’ type and the material uses lead alloy. Dia-meter of screws for $5-400 and S-300 will be 10mm or more , for SS-200 will be Sum or more, for PS9-65, PS7-6S and PS5-6S will be Gum or more, Polarity of a terminal will be distinguished in the manner as appropriate. 8. Sealing Compound Sealing Compound shall be an acid~proof material which is free from injurious impurity. 9. Electrolyte Blectrolyte shall be a solution of sulphuric acid in pure water, of specific gravity 1.240+0.01 at 20°C, when the battery is fully charged. 10. Capacity Test The batteries shall be discharged at the constant rate to cut off voltage under following condition, and the batteries shall have over 95% of ampere-hour capacities that specified in 2, within five cycles. 10.1 Initial specific gravity of electrolyte 1.240 + 0.005 at 20 °C. 10.2 Time for start discharge ++ +++ ++ 1 hour after completion of charge. +++ 10 hour rate. * ++ 18 volt / cell 10.3 Discharge rate 10.4 Cut off voltage 10.5 Temperature of electrolyte during discharge + + + 10.6 Conversion capacity by temperature In the case where discharge is performed under a temperature other than standard one, the figure obtained by the following formula is the corresponding capacity under the standard temperature. The formula is only applicable within the range of temperature 10°C ~ 40°C. oc) C Crs = 1+ 0.008 (t - 25) Cos : The capacity (Ah) converted to the one under standard temperature, C. : The capacity (Ah) under t °C. t : Average temperature(‘C)of electrolyle of last 2 hours of discharge. LL. Designation ‘The following items will be shown on the battery in a place readily visible and by the way difficult to erase. ek ae (2) 10 hour rate capacity (3) Volt (4) Manufacture’ s name 12. State of battery The batteries shall be furnished in a ( charged and filled ) condition. 13, Cable connector Necessary number of cable connectors and connection Bolts & Nuts shall be appended to each group of battery. CONSIST OF CABLE CONNECTOR Rubber insulated cable wire. (Nominal section area of conductor: 22 mm) Terminal : copper Length : 400 mm Quantity : 10 pes Bolt, nut : 24 sets 14, Accessories and spare parts ‘The accessories and spare parts shall be appended in accordance with attached "Spare Parts List”.
