Question: How does the shape of a bridge affect its strength?

Claim: I think that the thicker the paper will get, the stronger the bridge will be.

Evidence:

First time: 40 scrabble pieces Second time: 48 scrabble pieces

At the first time, I take the two same books and measure the distance between
the two books which is 10 centimeters. I make the space between the two books
to see when it will pass the line. And then, I take a paper and use the tape to
stick it to the books. Then I put the scrabble pieces and checked when the books
will pass the line. After that, I see that the first paper can bear 40 scrabble
pieces. Then, for the second paper, I also take the two same books and stick a
new paper on them, and I also make sure the space between them is always 10
centimeters. But for this time, I fold the paper half to make it thicker and I saw
that the bridge didn’t collapse when I put 40 scrabble pieces. And it can even
bear more than the first one which is 48 scrabble pieces. Therefore, I have a
conclusion is if you make the paper thicker, the bridge can bear more scrabble
pieces and if you keep continue to fold it again and again, it will be stronger and
stronger. But actually, the space that you have will get smaller and smaller.

Reasoning: if you look at the data or the evidence, you will know that when
you make the paper thicker, it can bear more scrabble because of its thickness.
But when you make the paper thicker or when you fold the paper to make it
thicker, it will also become smaller but it is much stronger.
