2. Grammar clues.
2.1. Where and the subject pronoun “it”.

“Where” is a question word to ask about a location or direction about any place. To use
it, follow this structure:

WHERE + IS/ARE + PLACE?

Example:
Where is the sports complex?
Where are the restaurants in the city?

To answer, replace the location with the subject pronoun it.

Example:
Where is the sports complex?
It is around the corner, in front of the park.

In this example, the pronoun “it” replaces the noun “Sports complex”.

2.2 Preposition “by” to express means of transportation.

If you want to go to a place, sometimes you need to take a means of transportation. To

refer to it, use the preposition “by”.

We go to the bakery by bus.

If I’m late, I go to the office by taxi.

Today I have pico y placa so I have to go to the university by bicycle.

2.3 Imperative

We use the imperative to give directions and explain to people how to get to a place.
Use the base form of a verb to indicate the instruction, then add the direction of the
action or a mean of transportation. After, complete your sentence with the place.

Base form of the verb + Direction / Means of transportation + Name of the place

Example:
