The Deep Web.

The Deep Web or Invisible Internet is all the content and information that is not
indexed by the common search engines (Google, Yahoo!, Bing, Etc.). This network was
designed by the US military with the purpose of keeping information securely and
clandestinely in the global network. But over the years the Deep Web took an
unexpected turn, becoming a global public domain.
The Internet is divided into two parts: the superficial network and the Deep web. The
superficial one is that where we can find any type of information indexed in the DNS
servers (Domain Name System) which are encoded alphanumerically and are
perfectly understandable by conventional search engines, while the Deep web is
composed of pages whose domains are registered with .onio extensions and the
names of the domains are completely encrypted and coded, thus allowing anonymity
to all users who dare to enter the darkest of the Internet.
For the year 2010 it was estimated that the information that was on the Deep web was
approximately 7500 terabytes, equivalent to 550 billion files and documents, while
the surface network information was approximately 19 terabytes equivalent to only 1
billion of content between files and documents, in the same way it was estimated that
within the Deep web there were more than 200,000 different sites.
Currently the University of California at Berkeley made estimates based on
extrapolations where it is speculated that the Deep web should have 91000 terabytes
of information and files, in addition to the different pages and sites in the global
network.
It must be said that not all the information that is inside the Deep web is intrinsically
bad, since we can find:
• Confidential contents from different countries.
• Organizations that store information such as NASA research and projects.
• Various databases in real time.
Although in the same way as this type of information can be accessed, it is also
possible to access undesirable and even unpleasant content such as:
•Drug sales.
• Child pornography.
• Gore content.
• Purchase and sale of weapons.
• Trafficking of people.
• Hiring of criminal groups.
It should be noted that to access the information of the Deep web it is necessary to
take certain precautions since it is not possible to access it in a common way from a
conventional browser, you must have a good antivirus to protect your computer and
download a proxy server. Currently the most recommended is TOR, with which you
can navigate in a more secure and anonymous way through the Deep web.
