 Glimpses of the University
Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT) is established under the
promulgation of Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009. The University is empowered to
confer degrees under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956.
CHARUSAT owns the distinction of being the first private University in the State of Gujarat
to be accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with 'A' grade
in the first cycle.
CHARUSAT under its ambit nurtures six faculties, nine Institutes and three Centers (within
the constituent institutes), offering seventy different UG, PG, and Doctoral Programs. The
faculties include Faculty of Technology and Engineering, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of
Computer Science & Applications, Faculty of Management Studies, Faculty of Applied
Sciences and Faculty of Medical Sciences.
CHARUSAT at the same time emphasises on science and technology with bench marking of
the highest international standards while taking stock of the national needs, demands and
issues. Training for scientific research as well as entrepreneurship development are the two
major considerations emphasized at CHARUSAT.
About Organizing Department
The Department of Civil Engineering at CSPIT, CHARUSAT is established in the year 2008 to
impart quality education and conduct research in Civil Engineering to cater to the rising
needs and demands of society. The Department has constantly been equipping itself with
technological advancements of national priority and flexibly adapting to changing
scenario in the field of Civil Engineering.
Objectives of the Workshop
Recent advancements in the construction of structural systems has widespread impacts on
the infrastructural development throughout the world. The advancements compels the
Civil and Structural engineers to incorporate these advanced solutions in context of
Analysis and Design.
The program basically aims to impart the knowledge about recent techniques used in the
field of Structural Engineering. The motive of this international workshop is to gather the
experts of different countries and knowledge seeking people and have fruitful interaction
under one roof. The participants will learn about the new infrastructure techniques that
can be used in India for continuing its journey toward sustainable and developed economy.
The theme thus emphasis on recent advancement in the field of structural engineering with
focus on Sustainable Infrastructure for making our cities smart for a better future of our civil
engineering profession.

There is “No Registration Fee” for the Workshop but attendance is compulsory in all
sessions to get the e-certificate of participation.
