College Bound Adviser (Thomas Jefferson High School)
- Ensure school principal always had the most complete and up-to-date data about financial aid completion, scholarships
awarded, and college application submissions
- Maintain detailed student records of financial aid completion, college application submissions, scholarships awarded,
and student interactions
- Organize and collaborate with peers across the district to host college fairs, career fairs, and other college awareness
events
- Establish and develop relationships with school administration, faculty, and staff, and college admission counselors to
increase a college-going culture at Thomas Jefferson High School
- Collaborate with a team of college access professionals from various partnerships and MOUs with SAISD

Resubmit). Racial identity exploration and academic belonging: LatinX faculty navigating the
counters of Latinidad. Submitted to Journal of Diversity in Higher Education.

- Summer 2020 – Present: HEASA Nueva Alianza – part of group of graduate students who revived this graduate
student organization at the University of Texas at San Antonio in the Department of Educational Leadership and
Policy Studies. Served as the Vice President of Communication.

- Summer 2021 – Present: Internship experience – worked to create curriculum around the seasons of college advising
for new counselors and administrators for the Thomas Jefferson High School. This curriculum is grounded in theory
and involves teaching and coaching our faculty to view our students through an asset-based understanding.
