Designing a Cooling Control System of a Single Cylinder Diesel Engine

Short Description:
The system consists of a coolant pumping to the cooling jacket in the diesel
engine perpetually through the bypass hose; until such time where the sensor reaches a
certain temperature at which point it sends a signal to the thermostat that redirects the
coolant to the radiator to eliminate excess heat stored in it when passing through the
cooling jacket. This prevents overheating in the engine and also helps reduce fuel
consumption.
Objectives:
1) To integrate a control system for a single-cylinder, water-cooled diesel engine
2) To design a cooling control system for the diesel engine’s efficacy of fuel
consumption and regulate the internal temperature to prevent overheating.
