Library Drawings

Document Responsibility: Standards Coordinator

General Information

Library Drawings are one of several types of Saudi Aramco Engineering Drawings.
They are drawings of designs previously used in Saudi Aramco facilities, and their use
in future similar projects is encouraged.

Library Drawings differ from Standard Drawings in that they are not mandatory. They
provide "pre-designed" information that can be used on a repetitive basis. Their use can
improve the use of stock materials and reduce or eliminate the need for individual or
unique designs. In addition, the use of Library Drawing provides savings by directly
reducing drafting and engineering time. Drawings that are generated from Library
Drawings can be revised and modified to suit specific construction situations for
specific project requirements.

The copies of the Library Drawings in DeskTop Standards are only for reference
information. To obtain copies of Library Drawings that can be revised and modified for
use in construction or maintenance work, contact Saudi Aramco's Chief Draftsman.

For a complete listing of Library Drawings, refer to the folder in DeskTop Standards
labelled "Library Drawings". For additional information on the preparation or use of
Library Drawings, see SAEP-305 or the Saudi Aramco Drafting Manual.
