Self-cleaning Pumps & Filters

Self-Cleaning Submersible Pumps Features

The submersible pumps are low head filter
pumps with integral self-cleaning intake filters. They
have a maximum output of 220 litres/minute and
pressure of 1.1 bar.
These pumps that can be fitted with 1mm and
2mm woven steel mesh, or 60, 115 or 300 micron
aperture nylon self-cleaning filter screens on the
self-cleaning intake.
Their ease of use, low maintenance and
combination of intake filtration and pumping makes
them ideal for dirty water use.

Self-Cleaning Filters Features

The Filter is a coarse screened self-cleaning strainer that connects to the suction hose of surface mounted
pumps. The Filter is fitted with a single sheet of perforated stainless-steel mesh which forms the filter
cage. Standard perforated mesh sizes are 3mm and 6mm. The Filters have a capacity of up to 220 litres
per minute.
All our filters have an internal cleaning rotor that
is water powered by taking a 'T' off the output of
your pump to supply the Filters internal rotors.
This water supply continuously backwashes the
perforated screen pushing away anything that
might cause it to block or blind.
These filters can operate in very dirty water and
are ideal for use where there is a need to filter
coarsely to protect pumps and other downstream
equipment.

FRP Parshall Flume

The Parshall flume is one of a large class of open channel primary elements known as critical flow venturi
flumes. A distinguishing characteristic of the Parshall flume is the down-ward sloping invert of the throat.
This feature gives the Parshall flume its ability to operate at higher
ratios of downstream to upstream head than any other such device.
Application
The Parshall is recommended for those applications in which
moderate concentrations of sand, grit or other heavy solids exist
and fluid velocities entering the flume are subcritical.
The flume operates with a small energy loss or change in channel
grade, about one-fourth that of weirs having the same crest length.
The flume is ideally suited for fluid measurement in irrigation
channels or sewers.
