JOB INTERVIEW

Kyla: Hello. Good Afternoon/ Morning.


Melen: Good Afternoon Ma’am.
Kyla: I want to ask first if you clearly hear my voice?
Melen: Yes ma’am.
Kyla: Great! So how are you?
Melen: I am doing good ma’am. How about you?
Kyla: I’m good. Thank you and I want to congratulate you for passing our initial interview
in our company. Are you ready for the final interview?
Melen: Yes ma’am.
Kyla: Good. Let me introduce myself first, I am Kyla Mae Villareal, Administrator of
Engoo Company, you’re interviewee for today. I will just ask a few questions here so
relax and make yourself comfortable. Tell me about yourself?
Melen: My name is Melen Joy Fuentes, 26 years old. I am a graduate student of
Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Filipino. Recently, I passed the licensure
examination for professional teacher which credited me as a Professional Licensed
Teacher. I have been a teacher in private school for 5 years and I also worked as a call
center agent in a company for 2 years which I practice and enhance my English
communication skills. During our workshop in our church, I do share and teaches
students about the words of God since I am one of the trusted person in our
organization that is why I am in-charged in them. I do love reading books especially self-
motivation, short story, novel and bible. When it comes to works, I am a dedicated
person which I gives my best in working for it to have a good outcomes. That’s all
ma’am.
Kyla: Is this your first time to apply in Engoo?
Melen: Yes ma’am. But I also tried to apply and send application with other companies
however I didn’t get any response from them, luckily Engoo emailed me about my
application which I make it today, for the final interview. I am happy and hoped that I
can be your employer. I will do my best to be one of your employer.
Kyla: Can you give me incident where you loses your temper? What did you do?
Melen: Sometimes, I get irritated and angry at small things especially someone if
someone talk about my weaknesses. I usually not a type of person who will screams
and yell but I chose to be optimistic. I just ignored them and let go of my anger. Anger is
natural with humans but we have to learn how to deal with it in a positive way. I think for
the possible solution for such problem.
Kyla: You are graduated as Filipino major, are you fluent in English communication?
Melen: As an educator, it is necessary to be able to speak and understand English
language. Even though, I graduated as Filipino major, I practice to be fluent in English
communication. As I have mentioned, I worked as a call center agent for 2 years which I
enhance my English communication skills. Moreover, during my college years, we do
not only focused on Filipino language but we also use English language for particular
events and scenarios. Yes, I am able to communicate using English language.
Kyla: How did you know about this job?
Melen: Actually, I was actively looking for a job. One day, while I was searching I found
your company, Engoo. At first, I do read and search information about your company
then I said, Wow, this company got my interest. After that, I browse about your
requirements and details for application.
Kyla: How will you handle students with zero knowledge in English?
Melen: As an educator, the effective ways of teaching students with no interest or zero
interest in English is that I will use my teaching skills through basic such as letters,
spelling, shapes, phrases etc. I do believe that it all started with the basic and from that
we can teach students step by step for him/her to fully understand the lessons.
Kyla: How will you explain the word deposit?
Melen: Uhm, deposit means to put something from another storage into a secured area
or safe storage. It literally means to put or transfer something into another place.
Kyla: Well, that’s it. We will review the interview. You will get the result through email
